We require at least 48 hours' notice so we can provide the best picnic experience for you. However, we do get fully booked - especially on weekends. The more notice you can give, the better!
Give us a call or Email us to secure a date and time. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required on all bookings. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your event date. We happily accept payment through Zelle, Paypal, and Venmo.

Yes, we know Virginia weather can be unpredictable! Our pro tip is to have an indoor/covered alternative, in case the weather doesn't cooperate. Once you've booked your picnic and we've received the deposit, we will send you a contract that states if you wish to reschedule due to weather, we will work with you to reschedule your event within a 21 day window. Please note, all deposits are non-refundable.
If you need to reschedule your picnic due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, we can apply your funds to another date within 21 days. We do require 24 hours notice upon rescheduling due to weather.
In a non-weather-related rescheduling, you must cancel 72 hours in advance and reschedule for a new date within 21 day period
If you need to cancel entirely after 7 days , Baskets and Blankets Picnic Company reserves the right to retain half of the amount of the total picnic price at checkout. If you book a picnic and do not show up, Baskets and Blankets Picnic Co. reserves the right to retain the entire amount of the total picnic price at checkout. All deposits are nonrefundable
We are happy to clean up after you; that’s part of our service! However, if you break or do irreparable damage to our equipment, then you will be charged the price of replacing those items.
We do not offer or provide alcohol, but you may bring your own. It is the responsibility of the client to check the alcohol laws of any venue or public space being used for one of our picnics. We do not offer alcoholic beverages and are not held responsible for those who bring those items to their picnics.
We can accommodate both outdoor and indoor picnic locations! You can select from one of our partnering venues or select your own. While we will do our best to accommodate your location request, we ask that locations are 50 yards from vehicle access. Please keep in mind when picking a location if you will need ADA accessibility for members of your group.
We provide flat or sparkling water, and tea or lemonade with all picnic set ups. As for additional food, drinks, and beverages, we offer an array of add-ons from charcuterie boards to sweet treats! Whatever you are wanting, your wish is our command. Once you have booked your picnic, we will connect you with our partnered vendors. You may bring your own food and drinks!
Yay, you’re on the calendar! Once we’ve received your deposit, we will send a contract over to you via e-mail for you to review and sign. From there, we will connect you with our add-on vendors as needed. You can then expect to hear from us a few days prior to your event to talk details: beverage selection, location confirmation, start time, etc. Please note, that if you select a public location (beach/park/etc) we will confirm the exact location we have set-up one hour prior to your event. We will always decide on a general area with you, but due to the nature of public locations, the exact location will be provided to you as soon as we arrive to set up!
